burn in the
border
queer cinema showcase
Latin American
the curation of burning
en la frontera starts from a cross-border, queer, and Brazilian perspective, focusing on Latin American production.
Throughout its four editions, the program has always been structured around the articulation between films, spaces for conversation, and, in the last two editions, a creative residency that expands and deepens Arder's presence in the territory. The festival is organized around central themes that prioritize Brazilian cinema and, at the same time, present films from various Latin American countries.
The program, which is free, includes screenings, including previews and unreleased works, debates, masterclasses, and tributes. Each session is accompanied by conversations with filmmakers, fostering integration between different thematic layers and strengthening the educational, critical, and collective character of the event.
